Reports about the end of the war in Iraq routinely describe the toll on the U.S. military the way the Pentagon does: 4,487 dead, and 32,226 wounded.
The death count is accurate[*]. But the wounded figure wildly understates the number of American servicemembers who have come back from Iraq less than whole.
The true number of military personnel injured over the course of our nine-year-long fiasco in Iraq is in the hundreds of thousands - maybe even more than half a million - if you take into account all the men and women who returned from their deployments with traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress, depression, hearing loss, breathing disorders, diseases, and other long-term health problems.
We don't have anything close to an exact number, however, because nobody's been keeping track.
* Our note: We don't see a clear indication of how many die en route or at the hospital in Germany. Also, it is known that the VA does not keep statistics of how many vets commit suicide. There is more to the number shuffling than meets the general public's eye.

“We are in the business of kicking candidates out of the race”
Despite Ron Paul’s overwhelming success in Saturday’s Ames straw poll, finishing second to Michele Bachmann by less than two hundred votes, in an astounding video establishment media talking heads admit what we’ve been highlighting from the very start – that there is a deliberate policy to sideline, ignore and discredit Paul’s campaign.
After pointing out that Ron Paul only lost to Michele Bachmann by a tiny percentage (and that after accusations that Bachmann’s campaign attempted to rig the result by buying 4,000 votes), and that the Ames result was virtually a “tie for first,” Politico’s Roger Simon said the reason for him being ignored was that “the media doesn’t believe he has a hoot in hells chance of winning the Iowa caucuses, the Republican nomination or winning the presidency, so we’re gonna ignore him.”
CNN host Howard Kurtz even admits that, “We are in the business of kicking candidates out of the race”.
The bizarre aspect of this clip is that Simon admits the Ames straw poll is a key indicator of the race and was “as good as a win” for Ron Paul, then completely contradicts himself by saying Paul has no chance of winning. This dichotomy illustrates how the media-generated perception of Paul’s campaig as futile has no basis in reality – it is nothing more than a hoax designed to manipulate the American people.
Indeed, it is the establishment’s fear that Ron Paul could build the kind of momentum for a win that drives the deliberate policy to ignore his campaign. By manufacturing the hoax that Ron Paul has no chance of winning, the establishment hopes their rhetoric will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Max Keiser’s- Silver Liberation Army and the “Million Ounce March”
April 7, 2011 – Catalyst X Media and Max Keiser are teaming up again to release 10 million, 1/10th ounce silver bullion rounds to the public from the depleting global silver supply. The company will be taking orders on the website created strictly for these precious and limited bullions, and demand is expected to be extremely high based on previous releases.
The design features former Wall Street broker and current broadcaster / journalist Max Keiser and the slogans “Fiat Money Sucks!”, “Inflation is a Crime” and the campaign name “Million Ounce March.” Keiser calls his following the “Silver Liberation Army”, and wants to put silver in the hands of the people.
The last time Max Keiser teamed up with Troy James for silver bullions, the supply sold out within three days prompting the immediate increase in production. The previously launched bullion was incubated from the Alex Jones Show episode on November 11th, 2010. Idea creator Troy James said “This truly shows the demand for the precious metal and that people are seeking change. We are happy to be a part of this history by showing our abilities of creating viral messages to the World.” The first generation rounds have been seen on eBay recently selling as high as $202 for a one ounce silver “Keiser” round.
Max Keiser, while dedicating his likeness and slogans once again, will not be profiting from the silver bullions. “This is the thumb tack that I use to mark how well my message to the World is spreading,” said Keiser. Along with the slogans, this new bullion is in support of Max’s campaign for the Silver Liberation Army that was just announced during Keiser’s recent return visit to the Alex Jones show.
The Silver Liberation Army and the Million Ounce March is another campaign started by Keiser to encourage the public to hedge against inflation by purchasing silver. This trend has been witnessed several times throughout history. Like with everything else, history seems to repeat.
There was communication and slow-delivery problems with the last bullion release but Catalyst X Media’s, President, Jason Springett said “We have figured out all the complicated problems with the communication barriers by hiring a 24-7 bonded call center and sped up the delivery process by retaining a bonded freight forwarding company.” He went on to add that a percentage of the net earnings of the new “Keisers” will go to support Japan’s recovery.
Catalyst X Media (www.catalystxmedia.com) is handling the entire campaign for this release. They specialize in social viral media and guerilla marketing. For more information, contact Catalyst X Media or visit www.silverkeiser.com to see the new rounds.

Recent developments after the March 11, 2011 earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan seem to be a drop in a bucket compared with the nuclear disaster they caused. As bad as the first two visible hits were for the Japanese people with thousands reported dead, the third, invisible one, may be even worse. Anybody who watched the explosions at the Fukushima nuclear power plant - a home of six reactors - cannot escape the notion that the situation there is far from "contained". Japanese government had to admit finally that two of the reactors' containment has been breached.
A few pieces of information that are important.
The second explosion at the Fukushima plant occured at the reactor #3, oldest in its class, Mark 1. It was partially using plutonium as a supplement to its main diet of uranium. From what I have gathered, this reactor was designed to burn unspent material from nuclear weapons. Another factor in this scenario is a design detail that doesn't make much sense from the safety standpoint and that is the fact that the spent fuel rods were stored on top of the reactor casing. Sources cite the total number of spent fuel rods at the Fukushima plant (worth about 40 years of operation) at over six hundred thousand.
You can do your own research as to the aspects of the current situation that are of concern or interest to you.
In short, here are a few things you may want to know about this nuclear disaster and some history of nuclear testing and emergencies.
We will probably not know the whole truth about the severity of the problem untill it will hit us. But, based on the admissions already made, I wouldn't wait for the government to tell me what to do and when. People are reporting shortages of potassium iodide in stores. Internet stores are short or sold out. eBay situation (as of today, March 15th) is choppy; some eBay sellers are trying to make high margin profits off the fears of radiation that may be arriving on the jet in a few days and hitting North California and up. We can hope that most of the radioactive material carried by the jet will dissipate over the ocean.
(Interesting page (and website) that may help you gain some insight into different scenarios of nuclear fallout is Illwind and can be found at: www.ki4u.com/illwind.htm)
As a general note, iodide is not the only substance we should avail ourselves to in times of nuclear emergencies as its isotope is only one of many expelled/released in a nuclear reactor disaster or nuclear weapon detonation. Some of the supplements that are beneficial in this kind of a situation and in general are phosfor, selenium, glutamins, sea vegetables and Vitamin C. Many also advise drinking lots of green tea. Having said that, I am not a propessional and you should do your own home work and/or check with your doctor.
Starting in mid-40's US and then other countries started testing nuclear devices at various test sites around the world and in different scenarios (atmospheric, surface, underground, underwater). Many of the tests have been made in secret from the public.
In April of 1953 at the Nevada desert a nuclear device code-named "Simon" (43kT) was detonated and, as a result, a radioactive fallout occured in upstate New York, contaminating water tables, soil and plants where rain storms occured, after the radioactive cloud traveled over several states. See "The Troy Incident".
In the late 1966 the Chinese detonated "a few hundred kilotons" yield bomb in the atmosphere with the resulting fallout over the entire USA. It is mentioned that the map depicting distribution of the radioactive cloud was later "declassified". It means that it had to be "classified" first! To what end?
These are just two of so many examples of secrecy and cover-ups by governments of information vital to the citizens, much of which may mean life-or-death to the affected.
The number of all nuclear detonations up to date around the planet is estimated at around 500, with some 300 done by the US Government.
We shouldn't be surprised at the numbers of leukemia, cancer and other problems skyrocketing over the years around the world.
If you have not seen the 1995 documentary movie, "Trinity and Beyond", please do! You can watch it in parts for free on YouTube.
Other resources you may want to see is an article related to the incident I mentioned above, The Troy Incident.
There is a book you can read online, called Secret Fallout, if you want to learn more on this subject.
